Herb Walk

Hello everyone!  Chad and I took an herb walk today.  I needed to find some herbs for my class so Chad and I went to the Springfield Botanical Center to look for them.  We walk this trail alot- in fact on Tuesday, we walked 10 miles on this trail.  It took us 2 hrs and 50 minutes!  I was tired.

Here are some pictures of our herb walk today.  The weather was really nice and we had fun looking.  I'm not sure if I identified all the herbs right but I think the idea was just to get out and have the opportunity to look for herbs. I'm just so amazed with how creative the Messiah is.  There are so many varieties of plant life out there!

Looking for a member of the Pine Family

I think this is clover which is part of the Pea Family

I'm so excited- I found a sample from the Grass Family!

Lovely roses

This reminds me of a dandelion

How did that flower get out of the box?

Peonies smell so good and they are so pretty!

Matthew 6: 28-29 (NASB)

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.  Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
