The 47th Day of the Omer

Today is the 47th day of the Omer.  I have a sore throat, cough, and some slight congestion.  I don't think this is a cold though, but instead, something called a healing crisis.  A healing crisis happens when your body is getting healthy through exercise, diet, etc.  All the toxins are then released so that your body can get rid of them and you begin to feel sick.  I do hope this crisis does not last long.  I want to be out walking again!

The Messiah kept me from getting into a bad accident today.   I went to the store early this morning and as I drove back, a bus stopped ahead of me and I had to slam on my brakes - but my brakes did not work.  I continued to slide and almost hit the bus.  Praise the Messiah, I came very close to hitting it but didn't touch it!  Chad and I had the car taken into the mechanic who replaced all our brakes two weeks ago and they said there was a clamp near the brake line that had come loose.  They said this was a very rare occurrence, something they had only seen once before twelve years ago.  This brake failure could have resulted in a very bad situation, but Yeshua protected me and kept me perfectly safe in His arms.  Thank you Yeshua!

Even though I'm coughing, congested, and blowing my nose, I will continue to count the omer!  It's only days away to Shavuot!

Psalm 130: 1-8 (KJV)

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
