The 42nd Day of the Omer

Today is the 42nd day of the Omer.  Chad and I went for a four mile walk today.  Afterwards, we went for some coffee and a little drive out into the country and saw the Amish.  I really enjoy seeing the Amish.  They seem to have such a simple and uncomplicated life.  I know that in reality, they all have issues; they are human aren't they?  It just seems that they have chosen a much simpler, less complicated way of looking at the world and living in it without becoming a part of it.

This simplicity makes me think of the Messiah's Kingdom.  I can't wait till we are with Him forever.  Just think, we will live exactly as He always intended for us to live, and we will get to see Him everyday with our very own eyes.  Everything about His Kingdom will be about Him. All of life will be about Him and everything will point to Him.  Can you think of a more perfect place to be?

 I often daydream about the day when I go to coffee with Him.  I wonder what He would order?  Perhaps a mocha or a latte?  And maybe He will king-size it!  Just think, wouldn't it be wonderful to have written down on your day planner, "Coffee with the Messiah today!!!!!!'  Doesn't that make you want to sing with joy?  With a joyful and anticipating heart, count the omer!

Psalm 105: 1-8 (KJV)

 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
