Today is the 35th day of the Omer. Chad and I had a lovely dinner tonight- zuppa toscana soup (made with potatoes, garlic, onions, kale, turkey bacon and turkey sausage). We also had some spiced wine and some almond flour banana bread for dessert. Its been cold and snow/rain has been falling for much of the day. It's nice being so safe and warm inside, enjoying the Shabbat in my fleece pajama pants and t-shirt. How wonderful of the Messiah to give us the Shabbat- a day to rest and enjoy Him and others! I think I'm going to cuddle in bed tonight and spend some time reading. That's a very restful thing for me to do on Shabbat evening. As you stay warm and enjoy the Shabbat, you can count the omer and remember the Messiah!
Psalm 90: 12-17 (KJV)
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.
Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
